Dr. Cleberson Ribeiro has a bachelor degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, Brazil, and received his doctorate in Plant Physiology in 2011 from the Federal University of Viçosa, Brazil, where he is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department of General Biology and serves as Coordinator of the Laboratory of Plant Molecular Genetics at the Institute of Biotechnology Applied to Agriculture (BIOAGRO). He has developed studies on the morphophysiological and molecular aspects of crop plants (soybeans, corn and rice). Dr. Ribeiro has experience in Botany with an emphasis on Plant Physiology, and he has expertise in the following areas: physiology of abiotic stress (triggered by heavy metals, lack of nutrition and drought); susceptibility/tolerance of plants to pollutants and metals such as aluminium, iron, arsenic and cadmium.
