Dr. Adriano Nunes Nesi is an agronomist and received his doctorate in Plant Physiology in 2004 from the Federal University of Viçosa, Brazil, where he is currently an Assistant Professor of Plant Physiology in the Plant Biology Department. Dr. Nunes-Nesi worked for six years as researcher at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology (Potsdam-Golm, Germany), where he studied molecular plant physiology, with a focus on primary metabolism. He is the author or co-author of more than 77 research articles, most of which address plant metabolism. Since 2011, he has led a Max Planck Partner Group at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology in the Plant Biology Department of the Federal University of Viçosa.
